Assignment 5: Facade
Due: Monday March 5
Assignment 5: Learn Façade, Make a Face Library &
Decide you final project Assignment
1) Download façade. Unzip and run. There is a code and non code version.
Read instructions first (README_FIRST.doc) – print it out while you work. Get use to the program.
2) Create 6 to 10 faces called Library files with the lw command. (see instructions)
A Library file is simply saving a face you have made by saving the parameters that made it.
Start by looking at the existing Library files in the Library folder.
With you face- make them an integrated group of faces in some way, such as all the faces are:
All Lipsync positions or (see lipsync chart)
The basic Expressions or (see lecture notes )
Interesting Character types or
Other Expressions or
You pick it.
Save
these files on “facial on Riso” in the assign5 folder
Note: Programmers can substitute
this assignment with a façade code assignment ( email me your intentions).
3) Starting thinking about how you can improve façade. It is our class final project. Here are some needed assignments.
Some are bigger, some are smaller, some need to be done with others, some can be done by one person. Pick one or two
Assignments. Prepare to discuss this in class Monday. As you are using façade think about these assignments and other ideas you have.
