Pick one of the following goals of the space:
1) A Halloween party space for the Traveler community and class.
2) A space to put on a condensed version of a well known TV show or film. Specify which one.
3) A space into which you will invite people that conveys a very personal narrative -- like that of Purple Tears.
4) Other goals must be approved by me. Describe them to me in class or via email for permission to proceed.
Include the follow:
1) Describe in a paragraph the main goals of your space and how you expect to achieve them.
2) Create two sketches of your space:
1) Top view – a functional sketch showing symbolically where and how things are laid out.
2) An avatar view – this sketch shows, more that anything else, what your space looks and feels like. Pick an angle that best shows off key parts of your space. Feel free to make more than one sketch if you want to show another angle.
3) Describe the main elements of your space (as outlined below). Describe what they are and how they relate to your main and secondary goals. Remember that Traveler spaces are people based: your decisions on design will effect how people interact in your space.
Background Image – The main wrap around image backdrop.
3D geometry - The main architectural elements.
Staging Areas – Inviting areas for people gather.
Sub Staging Areas – Additional areas for people to gather.
Background Sound – The audio that keeps playing in the background.
Opening Sound – The audio that plays once when you enter the space.
Objects sound – Audio that plays as you move over to an object, or emanates from an object).
Links to other spaces – 3D hyperlinks to other spaces.
Hyperlinks to the web- 3D hyperlinks that bring up your browser on a specified web page.
Animated objects – 3D objects that move with simple spinning animation, use sparingly.
Textures on objects – Pictures, textures or patterns you stencil on 3D objects.
Overall design – The stylistic look and feel of the space.
Overall color scheme – That effects the look and feel of the space.
