TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

FOR TUES: Each team must create a presentation including the specific

elements listed for that team. The goal of the presentation is to update

the rest of the class on the progress your team has made. You don*t need a

scripted presentation, just clear ideas, strong visuals, and concise

explanations.

 

SPACE DESIGNERS:

General Jobs:

  * Layout*how many spaces, size of spaces, design of spaces, portals,

    links

  * Modeling

  * Texturing

  * Lighting

Specific Positions:

  * Sound Designer

  * Publicist - puts spaces online; edits vrml files

  * True Space Integrator - imports Maya models into True Space; applies

    textures and creates lights

Due by Tues:

  * Production Schedule

  * Delegate work - what team members are doing what

  * Basic layout design (a blueprint done on paper)  * the number of rooms

  may not be locked down but you should know how all of the rooms are

  linked, where the main discussion rooms are, and how they relate to the

  smaller rooms

  * Ideas for the main hall and the entry and ending wedding room(s)

  * Ideas for important objects like doors

  * Some Play-Doh models

 

WRITERS:

General Jobs:

  * Story (including pre-story)

  * Character development

  * Script writing

  * Writing for html pages

Specific Positions:

  * Actors (or casting and coaching actors)

  * Art Director - communicates (not dictates) the artistic vision to

    other teams

  * Drama Director - makes sure that the space supports and communicates

    the story; oversee dramatic elements during performance

  * Publicity - posters, on-campus advertising, press-release, online

    invite

Due by Tues:

  * Production Schedule

  * Delegate work

  * strong rough draft

  * Artistic vision * work with the Inspirational Artist; these renderings

    need to be done quickly and they need to be done well because all

    other visual elements stem from them

  * divide story into spaces (and let the spaces team know)

  * rough list of html page needs

 

2D ARTISTS/WEB DESIGNERS:

General Jobs:

  * html pages

  * 2D images * for html pages, textures for spaces, publicity, anything

    else requiring Photoshop or Illustrator

  * Chronicling - what we leave behind

  * Interactive pages that interactors can leave their imprint on (ie

    photo album)

Specific Positions:

  * Inspirational Artist * creates artwork that conveys the artistic

    vision; communicates often with writing teams and probably goes to

    their meetings

  * Publicist

  * Events Planning - food and equipment; oversees the physical

    performance; in charge of a Floor Staff that runs the event

Due by Tues:

  * Production Schedule

  * Delegate work

  * Online invitation

  * List of anticipated pages

  * Working models for anticipated interactive pages
