Stochastic Noise Deformation - Implemented stochastic noise deformation system for naturalistic modeling of the parameterized heads. Adapted colleague's research (Lisp & C) into a production system for use in a film production that organically deforms 3D models using vector-valued noise to perturb the vertices of a 3D model. The model directed technique uses a sparse convolution algorithm where sampling and construction of the noise occurs only at the points where the noise value is required (i.e. the vertices of the given model). The algorithm was developed by John Lewis (an NYIT colleague) and was published in his 1989 Siggraph paper "Algorithms for Solid Noise Synthesis". Credits: Steve DiPaola, John Lewis.
